Police: Man Robs Fort Smith Gas Station With Screwdriver

The Fort Smith Police Department is seeking an armed robbery suspect after a man robbed a gas station with a screwdriver, according to a news release Thursday (June 26).

The incident happened on Thursday morning at 12:24 a.m. at the EZ-Mart located in the 8000 block of U.S. 271 S. An employee reported that she was stocking coolers when a white man with a medium build (5’10 to 6’0) wearing a black sweater and blue jeans approached her armed with a screwdriver or possibly a knife, according to the release.

With a gray toboggan hat covering his face, he took an undisclosed amount of money and left the store on foot traveling southeast.
