It was a finish that the tournament directors dreamed of.
Stacy Lewis entered the final round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G four strokes off the lead but fired a 6-under 71 to take the title in her own backyard.
The former Razorback made birdies on No. 15, No. 16 and No. 18 to take the lead in the tournament and wrapped up a 4-under back-nine.
Lydia Ko also fired a final round 65 to finish at 11-under, good enough for a tie for second alongside American Cristie Kerr. Kerr had a chance to tie Lewis going to No. 18 but had to settle for a par-5.
The leader heading into the day, Michelle Wie, saw lead quickly evaporate after she made three straight bogeys from No. 8-No. 10.
The win is the third of the year for Lewis and the 13th time she has finished in the top 10.
