Area Officials, Candidates Attend Rodeo Of The Ozarks Parade

Elected officials and candidates participated Wednesday (July 2)  in the Springdale parade that kicks off the annual Rodeo of the Ozarks.

Republican candidate for governor Asa Hutchinson walked in the parade, as did U.S. Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., and U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, R-Ark. Journalist Julie Bagley attended the parade and submitted these photographs to 5NEWS.

Hutchinson faces Democrat Mike Ross in the Nov. 4 general election, while Cotton is attempting to unseat incumbent U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., in November.

The three-day rodeo is the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, according to its organizers. All of the rodeo’s events are held at Parsons Stadium in Springdale.
