One Dead After Truck Accident In LeFlore County

A man is dead after a truck accident on Thursday (July 3) in LeFlore County at 1:02 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Donnie Fryhover, 64, of Monroe, Okla., was pronounced dead at the scene with “massive injuries.” He was transported to Mallory Funeral Home in Spiro, the report states.

Fryhover was driving a 2004 Ford F-350 pickup truck east on U.S. 59 northwest of Spiro. He slowed to make a left turn into a private drive when a 2003 tractor-trailer attempted to pass Fryhover on the left and struck his driver-side door, according to the report.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was David Webb, 57, of Fort Smith, and he was not injured, the report states.

The weather was clear at the time of the accident, according to the report.
