The 70th annual Rodeo of the Ozarks concluded over the weekend.

The rodeo's wrap up parade took place Saturday (July 5) morning. It began at the rodeo grounds at Parsons Stadium in Springdale and proceeded west along Emma Avenue.

"We have been here three years now and we have been at the 4-H club almost five or six years now," said William Penny III, Ozark World Leaders 4-H Club.

Spectators lined the street to enjoy the floats, horses, marching bands and other entertainment.

"The horses and the cars," said Christopher Deplantee.

"Seeing the horses do a half pass, and I like seeing the appaloosa," said Katherine Deplantee.

The theme for this year's parade was 'A Patriotic American Classic,' so many came dressed in red, white and blue.

"The parade was great," said Terry Durbin, Bella Vista Shrinedom Banjo Band. "There are some small ones, but this is a really great parade. It`s well worth your time to come out."

"It`s actually an honor to be in this parade," said Mayra Rivas, Hispanic Women's Organization of Arkansas. "Of course everyone notices that we`re different, but we`re representing the Hispanic community and all the diversity that is in the United States."

A firework display sponsored by Tractor Supply Company took place Saturday night.
