Police Investigate Adair County Woman’s Death As Homicide

An Adair County woman’s death is being investigated as a homicide. Her body was found Monday morning at an apartment complex in Westville, Okla., according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Westville police discovered 30-year-old April Meridith dead inside her home at Savannah Park Apartments around 7 a.m., investigators said. Her body was sent to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death, according to state police.

State investigators spent Monday in Westville conducting interviews and gathering information. Police also collected evidence at the scene, according to the Bureau of Investigation.

It is standard procedure for state police to treat any suspicious death as a homicide, police said.

State police and Westville police are working together on the case.
