Police arrested a driver they say continually pointed a pellet gun out of a car window Tuesday morning in Rogers.

The suspect was arrested after police responded to a call around 11:05 a.m. about a man in a car with a gun, according to Rogers police. Responding officers said they found two people in the silver Toyota Corolla, one of whom had a pellet rifle with a scope.

Andreas Lopez, 21, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license, according to the Rogers Police Department. Police said he started holding the gun out of the window while the vehicle traveled westbound on East New Hope Road. The suspect’s car was later seen heading north on South First Street.

Officers stopped the vehicle at Eighth Street and Poplar Street, police said. Lopez was arrested and released on a citation.

Dummy, one day someone is gonna point a pellet gun at the wrong person and get a real gun fired back. As Steve Earl would say “it can get you into trouble but it can’t get you out. “
