A Starbucks may soon open up along Wedington Drive in Fayetteville, according to site plans released by the city Tuesday.

The site plans from Morrison-Shipley Engineers proposes the Starbucks coffee shop be placed in a 6,000-square-foot building near the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Black Forest Drive near Wedington Drive.

The plans call the proposed area the “Starbucks Center at Forest Hills.”

Fayetteville city planners are scheduled to consider the plans July 16.

There are nine Starbucks locations in Northwest Arkansas, according to the company’s website.

That’s tight news. I like Starbucks. It is a great gathering place for hipsters who are snobbish about music and such.

Wedington already has a coffee shop called the Perk that is locally owned. more business on Wedington is fine as it builds the tax base, but please support your local business and keep the money in Fayetteville
