Officials with the Oklahoma Department of Health say an Oklahoma resident was recently found to be infected with the West Nile virus, according to affiliate station KFOR.
This is the first confirmed case of the virus in Oklahoma this year, KFOR reported.
Officials say the months where Oklahoma residents are at the highest risk for West Nile virus exposure are July through October, according to KFOR.
