The trial date for a man accused of raping and torturing his cellmate has been set, according to an official in the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Javaughntaiye Willis, 21, is back in the Washington County Detention Center awaiting his trial date of Aug. 6, an official said.

Willis was accused of beating and raping his cellmate with the help of another one of his cellmates, J’Donta Britt, 18.

Willis has been charged with rape, second-degree battery and terroristic threatening, according to court documents.
