FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Police found the body of a 27-year-old woman on Sunday (July 13) at Fayetteville hotel, said Sgt. Craig Stout, department spokesman.

The body was found at the Candlewood Suites at 2270 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Stout said.

A cleaning crew was unable to get the resident to come to the door and called police to perform a check on the person’s welfare,  Stout said.

Officers went into the suite and found the woman dead in a bathtub, Stout said.

Cans of air-duster were found in the room, according to Stout.

The police spokesman said no foul play is suspected.

The body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock for positive identification and an autopsy. No cause of death has been released, pending lab results, according to Stout.

2nd woman in a week or so in the Fayetteville area whose death is supposedly related to “duster”. Is this really that much of an epidemic?

Yes, it’s really that bad. It’s cheap and you can’t get in trouble for carrying it around like pills or other drugs.

Yes it is. I work at a local tool retailer and while some items (machetes, glues / epoxy, etc) require us to verify that the buyer is above 18 yrs of age, the air duster does not. Anyone can buy it and it’s completely legal to send your 12 year old in to buy it for you.

We had a woman drive though a local Mexican restaurant in Arkadelphia that had been huffing duster… She almost killed a guy inside preparing to open and she didn’t remember ANYTHING from the incident!
