The University of Arkansas Police Department (UAPD) responded to a gas leak in Fayetteville on Monday morning (July 14), officials say.

The leak was located at West Maple Street and North Leverett Avenue, according to officials.

Crews working on a road construction project hit a pipe that led to the gas leak, according to Lt. Matt Mills with UAPD.

SourceGas responded to the situation and fixed the leak, according to Mills.

“[There were] no injuries and no evacuations,” Mills said.
