HOOVER, Alabama (KFSM)- Every year at SEC media days in Hoover, Alabama, the media cast their preseason vote on who will win the conference.

They have been wrong 18 out of 22 times. Alabama better hope they are right this time.

The Crimson Tide received 1,915 votes to win the SEC West, and 154 votes to win the SEC Championship, doubling second place Auburn.

As expected, the Arkansas Razorbacks were picked to finish last in the SEC West with 351 votes, 440 votes behind sixth place Texas A&M.

Interestingly enough, there was one media member who picked Arkansas to win the SEC Championship.

South Carolina barely beat out Georgia as the East Champion, receiving 1,895 votes.

Four Razorbacks were selected for preseason All-Conference honors. None of them were on the first team.

Running back Alex Collins and defensive end Trey Flowers made the second team. Tight end Hunter Henry made the third team. Sam Irwin-Hill was picked as the second team punter.
