CNN – President Obama, speaking on the downed Malaysian flight that crashed in Ukraine on July 17, revealed that one American did die in the crash.

CBS News confirmed the American was Quinn Lucas Schansman, a dual U.S.-Dutch citizen.

President Obama also called for an immediate ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict between the Kiev government and pro-Russian rebels in eastern regions so an international investigation can proceed with no tampering of evidence.

Although it still hasn’t been revealed who shot down the plane,┬áthe president said┬áthat pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine have received a “steady flow” of arms and training from Russia, including anti-aircraft weapons.

He called for a “credible international investigation” into the shooting down of a Malaysia Airlines plane.
