A semi-truck accidentally snagged on power lines at a Rogers business Friday night, pulling the cable away from the building, according to the Rogers Fire Department.
Fire crews responded at 7:22 p.m. to Al McCarty Jewelers on West Walnut Street in reference to the power line issue. The driver of the Miller Lite truck was trying to turn around in the store’s parking lot, when a low power line caught on the vehicle.
By the time the truck stopped, the wire was pulled away from the business, and the electrical box was dislodged from the building, according to the Rogers Fire Department.
The business now has no electricity.
The pulled cable did not cause a fire, and no one was injured, according to the fire department.
