ALTUS (KFSM) - The 31st annual Altus Grape Festival concluded on Saturday (July 26).

The two day festival recognizes the rich history of grape growing in the Arkansas Wine Capital.

"This really is a celebration of all of the state, and just to share that knowledge with the states around us and others as far as celebrating the grape and wine industry," said Veronica Post, publicity chair.

Tours and tastings were held at four local wineries, Mount Bethel, Post Familie Winery, Chateau aux Arc and Wiederkehr’s Winery.

The event was friendly for those under 21 years old too. There were a variety of games and contests for kids as well as live entertainment, shopping and concessions for the whole family.

Organizers said the festival brings in around 5,000 visitors.
