No, I-540 is still accurate for the location they’re talking about in this article. This road is, and never was, an actual part of what is now I-49, which currently begins in Alma and heads north to NWA and which will eventually connect to the new interstate through Chaffee Crossing.

I wish they’d rebuild a better interchange for this location, though. Unfortunately they won’t and things like this will continue to happen.
