BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) – An Oklahoma man that was wanted as a suspect in a Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) homicide case was booked into the Benton County Detention Center on Wednesday (July 30), officials say.

James Manken, 40, of Watts, Okla., was declared a suspect in the murder case of Wayne L. Wennerholm, according to a news release from OSBI.

The OSBI offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Manken on July 29, the release states.

On July 13, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI help to investigate the homicide of Wennerholm. As the investigation moved forward, Manken was declared a suspect in the homicide case, according to the release.

On July 14, the Adair County District Court issued an arrest warrant for Manken, the release states.

Manken faces a charge of first-degree murder, according to the jail’s intake report.
