College Football Playoff Trophy Comes To Northwest Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – The College Football Trophy that will presented to the winners of the 2014 national championship was brought by the 5NEWS studio on Tuesday evening (Aug. 5).

The 24k gold trophy also contains bronze and stainless steel and is 26.5 inches tall.

It was handcrafted in Rock Port, N.Y., over a period of three months, and every year, a new trophy will be made. Each winning school will keep the National Championship Trophy for permanent display on campus.

Members of the public will get a chance to see the trophy in person on Wednesday (Aug. 6) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rogers Walmart at 4208 Pleasant Crossing Blvd.
