BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) - The Benton County Sheriff and a Benton County captain received an award today (Aug. 6), according to a news release.

The Arkansas Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office, announced that Sheriff Kelley Cradduck and Capt. Jeremy Guyll were going to receive the Patriot Award, the release states.

They received the award in recognition of "extraordinary support of their employees serving in the Guard and Reserve," according to the release.

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Kyle Fisher, Arkansas ESGR state chair.

They were nominated for being highly supportive of the National Guard and Reserve Services, Fisher said.
