Fort Smith Suspect Broke Into Nine Cars In One Week, Police Say

FORT SMITH (KFSM) – A Fort Smith suspect broke into nine cars in one week, police say.

The Fort Smith Police Department is trying to identify the suspect pictured at right.

Authorities say he broke into nine different vehicles from July 28 to Aug. 4. All nine incidents took place near the southern border of Fort Smith by Fianna Hills, according to police.

All of the cars were located on streets intersecting with Jenny Lind Road, police said.

The suspect was photographed by a home owner’s surveillance camera. He was using a flashlight to look into parked vehicles, according to police.

The suspect may be driving an old red Chevrolet Suburban, police said.
