BENTONVILLE (KFSM) – Charges have been filed against a Bentonville murder suspect accused of killing his grandmother, according to court documents.
Michael Conklin, 26, was arrested on July 26 and booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of stabbing his grandmother to death. He was living with her with at the time of her death.
Benton County Prosecutor Jim Clark filed two charges against Conklin on Thursday (Aug. 7), capital murder and aggravated robbery, both committed on July 14, court documents state.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Circuit Judge Robin Green on Monday (Aug. 11), according to court documents.
Police found the body of Darline Conklin, the grandmother of the suspect, after responding to her home to check on her. Her grandson originally went missing, along with the her silver Ford Focus, police said. Michael Conklin was later arrested in Saline County.
