WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) - Troopers with Arkansas State Police said one man is dead after an accident on Interstate 49, near Johnson Thursday morning (Aug. 7).

Ted Wayne Coody, 53, of Mountainburg was identified as the body found in the crash, according to Arkansas State Police.

He did not have any passengers in the car, a 1995 green Honda Civic, according to authorities.

The driver lost control on the wet pavement, went off the road, down a steep embankment and struck a tree on the driver's side, authorities said.

Seriously, Sunday? You are seriously pathetic. What was the point of making that comment? Sounds like something a 3rd grader would boast about? So you were happening to be passing by at the same time they were bringing up the body? Are we supposed to be jealous of you? Get a life.

No one really knows what happened. This poor guy could have been crowded out of the road, we may never know what happened for sure. I-49 is very deadly mile per mile per DOT figures, but not the worst, but in the worst 25%.
