ALMA (KFSM)- Alma voters are preparing to hit the polls Tuesday (Aug. 12) to decide whether they want to re-institute a local tax.
It’s a renewal of a one percent sales tax vote.
The funding if approved will go to projects including street improvement, the fire and police departments, parks, the downtown area, parking and refinancing bonds.
Officials said if approved the city’s sales tax will not increase and will last through 2024 and replace the existing one percent sales tax approved in 2009.
