LOGAN COUNTY (KFSM) – Deputies on Tuesday afternoon captured an escaped Franklin County inmate who walked away from the jail Sunday (Aug. 10). He was arrested at a private home in Logan County, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities found and arrested Toby Clay Tygart, 52, around 5:45 p.m. in Paris, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Tygart was found in an out-building outside of a local home.
Tygart was serving a sentence on convicted drug charges at the time of his escape from the Franklin County Jail. He was a trusty who worked in the kitchen and did various remodeling projects on the jail, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
