FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – The identity of a man killed in a three-car crash Thursday morning (Aug. 14) in Fayetteville has been released, police say.

Steve Chandler, 45, of Fayetteville was killed in the accident that took place at approximately 9:55 a.m. that morning, according to police.

Two other drivers were treated for minor injuries, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

A Chevrolet Colorado was being driven by Chandler southbound on Crossover Road when he drifted into the other southbound lane and collided with a Honda Civic being driven by Jianwen Ren, 40, of Springdale, police said.

Chandler then lost control of his truck, causing him to go left of center and then collide with a northbound Dodge Ram being driven by William Burris, 48, of Fayetteville, according to police.

Chandler was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, police said.

No one was cited in the wreck, and police continue to investigate.
