SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – The Springdale Police Department plans to crack down on drunk drivers this month as part of a nationwide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
The campaign begins Friday, August 15 and runs through Monday, September 1, according to a news release.
In 2012, there were 10,322 people killed in drunk-driving crashes in the United States, the release states. Over Labor Day weekend that year, more than a third of all traffic fatalities were in drunk-driving crashes, the release states.
