GREENLAND (KFSM) – Authorities on Monday identified the man who died in a Greenland house fire earlier this month.
Dale Cheatham, 62, died of smoke inhalation while his house on Daisy Lane burned down Aug. 7, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The cause of the fire is still undetermined, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Local fire crews responded at 1:22 p.m. to a house fire call at 10195 Daisy Lane. Firefighters recovered Cheatham’s body from the home and sent it to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification. Crews came back the next morning to continue the investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
No one else was injured or killed in the fire.
