SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) – A former Fort Smith Police officer and his wife will appear before a Sequoyah County judge at 9 Wednesday morning (Aug. 20).
Former Officer Naaman Adcock was arrested last May after Sequoyah County deputies said he fired his gun off several times and pointed a gun at a 5-year-old’s head inside his Muldrow home. Deputies also said they confiscated nine guns from Adcock’s possession that night.
Adcock was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, reckless conduct with a firearm, felonious pointing a firearm and child endangerment, according to the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office.
Adcock’s wife Tabatha was also arrested. She faces charges of failure to protect a child, child endangerment, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and reckless conduct with a firearm.
Both Naaman and Tabatha Adcock are scheduled to appear before a judge at the Sequoyah County Court house at 9 a.m.
