The Frisco Festival in Rogers celebrates its 30th anniversary in downtown Rogers Friday and Saturday (Aug. 22-23). It starts at 5 p.m.

The main stage will be the focal point of the festival where live bands will perform.

"Friday night we’re going to have Boom Kinetic, which is going to play some 80s music and then we’re going to have Members' Only, which is a cover band for the 80s and they are going to be coming and playing on a Friday evening,” said Mike Johnson, Frisco Festival Chair.

”..Being that the Frisco Festival is going to hit its 30th year, it takes us back to 1984," he said.

There will be carnival rides, a kid's zone with climbing walls and jumping areas, vendors, a 5-K run and much more.

At the entertainment garden there will be drinks and food.

"The rotary club is going to serve fish dinners on Friday night," Johnson said. "A new one that we are going to have Saturday morning is the First Baptist Church is going to have a pancake breakfast with pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee, etc. and it's free of charge."

The free breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Frisco Festival is the largest annual event in downtown Rogers and it attracts about 20,000 people each year, according to the event's website.
