Pet Of The Week: Norton

Meet Norton! He’s a neutered four-or-five-year-old male chocolate lab/border collie mix.  Although he is older, his caretakers say he’s still energetic and friendly with a zest for life.

He had a rough life before he came to Bella Vista. He was underweight, covered in fleas and suffering from a flea bite allergy that caused him to lose his hair. Now he’s healthy, at a good weight and has a beautiful coat, according to shelter manager Donna Miles.

He picks his dog friends selectively, so you are advised to bring your pets out to the shelter beforehand to meet Norton. This will help prospective buyers make an informed decision as to whether or not Norton will be right for their home.  He has not been tested with cats yet.

Bella Vista is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are closed on Sundays.  For more information click here.

If nobody adopts Norton in the next 72 hours, we will be forced to scold him repeatedly and tell him what a bad dog he is.
