WINSLOW (KFSM) – Firefighters responded late Wednesday afternoon to a fire call at the Provence Sawmill near Winslow, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
When firefighters arrived they discovered a former chicken house being used for storage was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters said the fire was too hot to fight, so they had to let the structure burn. A fire line was set up around the blaze to keep it from spreading.
A woman said she saw smoke and heard an explosion in the northern part of the county.
No injuries were reported.
