Man Struck By Truck In Springdale, Police Say

Police say a man was hit by a truck Thursday afternoon while crossing a busy street in Springdale.

Springdale officers and emergency crews responded at 4:07 p.m. near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Thompson Street in reference to a pedestrian being hit by a car. The man involved suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized as a precaution, according to the Springdale Police Department.

Police did not say what kind of truck was involved in the crash.

    I remember about a year ago a pedestrian was killed in this same spot. They need to put real cross walks in this area, because tons of people walk from the hospital over to KFC, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell from the hospital.
