Lavaca Man Booked In Child Porn Arrest

LAVACA (KFSM) – A Lavaca man is behind bars after Sebastian County Sheriff’s deputies arrested him on Aug. 27 in a child pornography case, authorities say.

Jorge Andrade-Garcia, 27, was arrested and booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center. He faces three charges of possession of computer child pornography, according to a news release.

On Aug. 27, the River Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant in the 4200 block of Boys Ranch Road near Lavaca. Investigators had been gathering information for several months that someone in that area was downloading child porn, the release states.

Investigators found videos depicting children in sexual activities at the residence, according to the release.

Andrade-Garcia’s computer and other electronic devices are still being analyzed, and there is a potential for more charges if further evidence is found on any of Andrade-Garcia’s machines, the release states.

Assisting the Sebstian County Sheriff’s Office in the execution of the search warrant were officers from the Lavaca Police Department and Barling Police Department, according to the release.

Andrade-Garcia is also facing charges for being in the country illegally, the release states.
