FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- College football season is back, and some fans said they've been waiting all year.
"It is its own mini-holiday," Drake Johnson said. "It just that time of year that everybody turns around to, hanging out with friends, being with family, just enjoying the camaraderie with everybody being able to sit down and watch the game."
University of Arkansas senior Chase Oestereich said because Arkansas doesn't have a professional football team, the Razorbacks have become the team for the state.
"It's a culture within the state," Oestereich said. "They don't have any professional football here, so everybody is behind the Razorback football team."
With Saturday (Aug. 30) being the first game of the season for the Hogs, all anyone wanted to talk about was their predictions for the season.
"I really believe Arkansas has major improvements from last year that they are bringing on to this season, so I'm looking forward to a better year than last year," Michael Day said.
The Razorbacks' first home game is Sep. 6 against Nicholls State.
