LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) – A three-vehicle crash in LeFlore County on Aug. 29 at 4:05 p.m. sent two women and one man to the hospital, according to a crash report.

John E. Osborne, 74, of Spiro was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when he failed to yield to a stop sign and collided with a 2007 Dodge pickup truck driven by Finif Thomas, 58, of Spiro, the report states.

The collision occurred at US 271 and Casey Lane east of Spiro, according to the report.

Then, Osborne slammed into a third vehicle, a 2003 Dodge pickup truck driven by Frank Thornburg, 47, of Spiro, the report states.

Osborne had no injuries, but a passenger in his car, identified as Lola Woods, 79, of Spiro, was taken by LeFlore County EMS to Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith with head and trunk external injuries. Woods was in stable condition when transported, according to the report.

Thomas was not injured, but his passenger, identified as Keli Thomas, 42, of Spiro, was also taken by LeFlore County EMS to Sparks Regional Medical Center, the report states.

Keli Thomas was treated and then released. The report did not state what kind of injuries she had.

Thornburg was taken by a private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, where he was treated and released. His injuries were not detailed in the report.

Everyone involved in the wreck was wearing a seat belt. The weather was clear at the time of the incident, the report states.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the wreck and received assistance from the Spiro Fire Department, Spiro Police Department and LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, according to the report.
