LAVACA (KFSM) – The Lavaca Car Show and Festival featured door prizes, live entertainment and vendors Saturday (Aug. 30). The rain ended the event earlier than anticipated. However, organizers said, about 60 cars entered the show.
“Some of the cars have never been out in the weather at all, have never been rained on and didn’t want rained on and so we wrapped it up a little early,” said Robert Sanders, car show organizer.
Prizes were awarded for the best interior, paint, engine and show.
A 1972 Plymouth Scamp was crowned as the winner.
The Lavaca Chamber of Commerce organized the 14th annual event with proceeds going to support the Chamber’s activities.
