Storey, Charleston Roll Past Shiloh Christian

The Charleston Tigers started the 2014 season where they left off the 2013 season. With a mercy rule win.

Ty Storey accounted for six total touchdowns, five passing, as Charleston rolled past Shiloh Christian in the Hooten’s Kickoff Classic at Mayo-Thompson Stadium.

Shiloh Christian (0-1) jumped out to an early 7-0 lead after a Matthew Solomon 18 yard catch. From that point it was all Charleston.

Storey closed the gap to 7-6 with a short touchdown run then added scoring passes of 11, 21 and 13 yards as the Tigers took a 27-7 lead into halftime.

Charleston quickly put the mercy rule into effect as Storey added two more passing touchdowns in the third quarter.

Storey finished the game going 23-of-36 passing for 225 yards and five scores.

This kid is the real deal.
And should the headline be edited to say “Storey, Charleston ‘Roll’ Past Shiloh Christian”, Mr. ‘c’ubs fan? :)

  • just my opinion

Storey is very talented, heĀ is born to play the game, while other kids spend their time doing other things, Storey was going to football camps perfecting his gift and he has a mom and dad supporting and helping him every step of the way, this is just my opinion but I say the, razorbacks are lucky to get him #4gamechanger

Ty Storey is the real deal and a good looking QB. Charleston will go far this season. By the way channel 5 the mercy rule starts when a team is 35 pts ahead of another team and I don’t believe 14-42 equals 35. Just saying that you need to report your facts correctly for journalistic integrity. Good luck to both teams moving forward this season.
