FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - The first home game of the season brought out thousands of fans from all over the country. Friends, families and students were seen throwing footballs, grilling out and watching the game on their own devices.

"People even bring their TVs and satellite dishes, watching the game in the back of their trucks and everything, it's a crazy experience," Jason Richman said.

Richman comes from Los Angeles every year for one Razorback game. He said the whole city shuts down when the Hogs are in town.

"I'm a big college football fan and there's nothing like an SEC football game...you can't find that anywhere, especially in California," He said.

Sophomores Cheryl Haynes and Kait McBeth said the light drizzle wasn't going to keep anyone away from the game.

"It's the first game people are still up and hyped and the rain isn't going to damper anybody's spirits," McBeth said.

Razorback fan Jeff Taylor said when you're inside the experience is electric.

"It's 70,000 of your best friends, calling the Hogs and cheering Brett and the boys to a win," Taylor said.
