SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – Springdale police arrested a suspect in the Sept. 8 armed Hardee’s robbery, authorities say.

Todd Doucette was taken into custody and confessed to the crime, according to authorities.

He faces a charge of aggravated robbery, authorities said.

Police received a 911 call regarding an armed robbery at Hardee’s at 401 S. Thompson St. on Sept. 8. They got to the restaurant, and witnesses said the suspect was a white man wearing a blue shirt and dark pants. He had his hand and arm under his shirt as if he was holding something and asked for a bag, according to authorities.

Doucette then demanded the clerk put money in the bag, or he was going to shoot her with a gun, police said. The man left the store with $33 in cash from the register, authorities said.

On Sept. 9, detectives had an artist draw a sketch of the suspect based on information given by witnesses. While it was being drawn, more information was found that identified the suspect as Doucette, according to authorities.

Doucette was located at Murphy Park at 501 S. Pleasant St. on Sept. 10 wearing the same clothes described in the robbery. He was then taken into custody, authorities said.
