Arkansas Runs Over Texas Tech 49-28

Hogs run for more than 400 yards, seven touchdowns in rout of Red Raiders

KFSM – It didn’t matter the down and distance. It didn’t matter the situation.

Texas Tech couldn’t stop the Arkansas rushing attack.

Arkansas ran for more than 400 yards en route to a 49-28 win over the Red Raiders in Lubbock.

The Razorbacks finished with 438 yards rushing with an average of more than six yards per carry.

Jonathan Williams led the Razorbacks’ rushing attack as he found the end zone four times and racked up 146 yards. Alex Collins added 211 yards rushing and two scores, including an 84-yard touchdown run int he fourth quarter that put the game out of reach.

Arkansas attempted just 12 passes, compared to 68 rushing attempts, as Brandon Allen went 6-of-12 for 61 yards. Allen added 27 yards rushing and an impressive five yard scoring run to cap the opening drive of the second half that gave the Razorbacks a 35-21 lead.

Texas Tech entered the game with one of the most prolific passing offenses in the country but was held to 252 yards through the air while the Razorbacks picked off a pair of Davis Webb passes.

Arkansas scored 122 points and rushed for 933 yards over the past two games, both wins for the Razorbacks.
