SPRINGDALE (KFSM) - The Hispanic Women's Organization of Arkansas (HWOA) will host their 14th annual conference today (Sept. 19) at the Jones Center in Springdale.

Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Kellogg Co. CEO, Carlos Gutierrez, will deliver the keynote address, according to a release. Gutierrez, an immigrant, worked his way up to become a member of President George W. Bush's cabinet.

Officials say the objectives of this year's conference include understanding diversity, promoting community leadership and involvement.

5NEWS Reporter Jocelyne Pruna will be in attendance to emcee the luncheon. The conference will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

To all Hispanic voters, get out and vote BLUE. Mark Pryor and Mike Ross. Those other two will send you packing. Vote blue down the line. We can turn Arkansas to a kinder place to live.
