Apple Fans Camp out To Get iPhone6

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- University of Arkansas biology student Matt Morris grabbed his lawn chair and camped out in front of the Verizon Wireless on Shiloh Dr. since 11 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 19) to get an iPhone6.

"First one in line and no wait is the reason I got here so early," Morris said.

He said his phone quit working about a week ago and he needs a new one. He said his friends don't think he's crazy.

"They kind of know that at this point I don't have a phone," Morris said. "So iPhone6 is my only option so just waiting on it now."

Pre-orders for the new gadget rolled out about a week ago and sold within hours. However, those in line hoped to get their hands on one even if they didn't pre-order.

They stayed busy by doing homework, watching movies and some even making new friends.

Roshard Johnson is also a University of Arkansas student who was second in line.

"Motivation is the 6 plus, hopefully they have one," Johnson said. "I wanted to be first in line, second is best to because at least I'm guaranteed this phone if they have it so."

The doors opened at 8 a.m.

I am 23 years old and have grown up in this generation of being dependent on technology and fancy gadgets. I am going to say this proudly that I have never ONCE owned an iphone or any fancy phone period. It drives me absolutely insane when I see 8yr old kids that have phones that cost as much as my house bills????!!! WHY? This is the fall of my generation and I am scared of how lazy and useless our future generation will be.

These people need a psych evaluation. We have starving kids all over Earth and our young generation’s money priority is spending $$$$ on a phone. I give every extra dime I have to help those you can not help themselves.
Sorry for being emotional, but if you have ever been to these third world countries on a missionary trip, then you know exactly what I am talking about. The cost of just one of these phones can feed a family for a year and provide life saving medical care and dental care. Try fitting glasses on a 11 year old girl for the first time ever and see her sheer joy to see leaves on a tree for the first time. Helping those that can’t help themselves will always be more important to myself than a nice phone.

Why do you liberals always think people should give away their money because someone else “is starving” or otherwise suffering? I don’t work to support starving kids. I work to support myself and my family.

Oh well, I guess if I don’t freely give it away it’ll be taken from me through taxes and laws, such as the “healthcare” junk. It’s the liberal way.

Velda has a heart of gold and reminds me of my grandmother. Please show some courtesy to her as she has every right to say her comment as you do.

I, too, have traveled to many countries and seen the starvation of the children. My heart is forever changed by the need.

Enjoy your iPhones, I have one myself that is useful internationally but I certainly respect Velda’s sacrifice.

Brought to you by the iPhone 4S.

Only trailer park trash has non Apple phones. The only reason why people who hate Apple phones, hate them, is because they can’t afford one.

Once trailer trash, always trailer trash, just because you drive a new Hyundai now and have an Apple phone, you are still trailer trash and you know you was raised on welfare and wore clothing from the starvation army.
