FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- University of Arkansas biology student Matt Morris grabbed his lawn chair and camped out in front of the Verizon Wireless on Shiloh Dr. since 11 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 19) to get an iPhone6.
"First one in line and no wait is the reason I got here so early," Morris said.
He said his phone quit working about a week ago and he needs a new one. He said his friends don't think he's crazy.
"They kind of know that at this point I don't have a phone," Morris said. "So iPhone6 is my only option so just waiting on it now."
Pre-orders for the new gadget rolled out about a week ago and sold within hours. However, those in line hoped to get their hands on one even if they didn't pre-order.
They stayed busy by doing homework, watching movies and some even making new friends.
Roshard Johnson is also a University of Arkansas student who was second in line.
"Motivation is the 6 plus, hopefully they have one," Johnson said. "I wanted to be first in line, second is best to because at least I'm guaranteed this phone if they have it so."
The doors opened at 8 a.m.
