FORT SMITH (KFSM) – The Kay Rodgers Park at 4400 Midland Blvd in Fort Smith was vandalized on Monday (Sept. 8), police say.

During the early morning hours on Sept. 8, employees of Kay Rodgers Park discovered several of their golf carts and a Honda ATV had been taken from a storage barn on the property, according to police.

Employees found the vehicles at various areas throughout the park, and all of them were damaged in some way, police said.

The gates on the storage barn and main entrance were bent, causing police to think that the vehicles were used to ram them, according to police.

Employees also reported to police that the concession stand was broken into, and candy was taken, police said.

Surveillance footage reviewed by police showed two underage white males with a slender build wearing shorts and t-shirts on the property driving the carts, according to authorities.

The age of the juveniles was estimated to be somewhere from 15 to 17, police said.

Anyone with information on the crime is encouraged to call the Fort Smith Police Department at 479-709-5133 or the Crimestoppers Tip Line at 78-CRIME.
