BENTONVILLE (KFSM) – Bentonville Public Schools and Mercy Medical Center are teaming up to provide vaccinations to students in the school district who still need to be immunized, according to a release.

Mercy’s Mobile Clinic will be at Bentonville High School to vaccinate students on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., the release states.

The clinic is not free, according to the release. Participants should bring insurance information and immunization records.

New Arkansas state mandates went into effect on September 1, 2014 requiring students to be vaccinated against Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis and Meningococcal disease, the release states. The state considers students to be out of compliance with the law if they have not been vaccinated before October 1, 2014.

Students out of compliance with the new mandates face suspension from school until requirements are met, the release states.
