FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - The 15th annual Bikes Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally is coming to town this week, and organizers are gearing up in Fayetteville.
Set up for the rally got underway Monday (Sept. 22). Volunteers set up tents, put up fencing and much more.
"It's coming together really smoothly," said Coleson Burns, Event Director of Bikes Blues & BBQ. "Every year it gets a little bit easier."
There are four main venues. They are located at Dickson Street, Baum Stadium, the Washington County Fairgrounds and new this year, Arvest Ballpark.
"We map out everything and try and coordinate everything," Burns said. "We try to mark everything, so people know where to go. It's like shaking up your favorite jigsaw puzzle, and then putting it back together again every year."
In addition to popular attractions like the beer garden and main stage on Dickson Street, this year's rally will include more than 200 vendors.
Southern Trend Clothing, the official merchandise vendor for Bikes Blues & BBQ, was busy setting up on Monday. The company based out of Fayetteville has seven tents set up for the rally.
"We are pretty busy right now getting our tents set up, stacking boxes, getting tables and everything ready," said Levi Schroeder, with Southern Trend Clothing.
Organizers said they have close to 350 volunteers helping with the set up this year.
The rally starts on Sept. 24 and runs through Sept. 27.
