DANVILLE (KTHV) – Defense attorneys are seeking a mental evaluation for a Greenwood mother who was charged with manslaughter in the death of her 10-month-old son, according to KTHV.
Brooke Floyd, 21, of Greenwood was charged in the July death of her son Harper, KTHV reported. Her son and husband were found dead after a search in the Ouachita Mountains, and authorities said the baby died from abandonment and exposure. She was not charged in the death of her husband, Brian Floyd.
On Friday (Sept. 19), Floyd’s attorneys said she needs a mental evaluation because she “may not fully understand the proceedings against her,” according to KTHV.
