SPRINGDALE (KFSM)- Many families soaked up the nice weather at Farmland Adventures on Saturday (Sept. 27), in search of the perfect pumpkin.

“I’ve seen people wonder around, pick one up, oh that doesn’t look right, go on and pick another one up, to me it looks like the same one to me, but that’s the one they like,” owner Dwain Parsons said.

Pumpkins went on sale last week. This year’s selection is all organic.

“We didn't spray it for bugs; we didn't spray it for weeds, so we got a lot of grass this year, but we still got a lot of pumpkins in it,” Parsons said. “Our pumpkins may be a little behind everyone else's pumpkins, but they're coming along, and with the rain we've had I think we’re gonna have a pretty good pumpkin crop.”

He says they have a few different varieties pumpkins and also squash and gourds.

Farmland Adventures is open Fridays from 3-9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m. For October, they’ll be open on Thursdays from 3 p.m.-9:30 p.m. as well. Sequoyah UMC Youth Pumpkin Patch opens Sept. 30- Oct. 31. McGarrah Farms have pumpkins available for picking from now until Oct. 31.
