SPRINGDALE (KFSM)- The Fall Carnival opens at 6 p.m. at Parsons Stadium in Springdale Wednesday (Oct. 1). It goes on until Sunday.

Arm bands are $20 Wednesday and Thursday, and $25 Friday through Sunday.

Crews from Joplin, MO cleaned and inspected the rides to make sure everything was safe and ready to go.

Culver said they've been holding a Spring and Fall Carnival for a decade at the Rodeo grounds.

"It's nice carnival rides so the kids can come out and enjoy," said Rick Culver, rodeo executive director.

There will be a Demolition Derby event on Saturday.

"We got cars from the four-state area," Culver said. "So, it's just a lot of fun. People love coming out and seeing this."

"I guess everyone likes to see things crash," he said.

It's the 16th annual Demolition Derby event and the winner gets $10,000.
