An electrical issue caused the fire alarms to go off at Pocola High School, prompting an evacuation, according to Pocola High School Principal Randy Ragland.

According to Pocola Police dispatcher, an electrical fire sparked in the library and the school was evacuated at 10:45 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 2).

Ragland said students were allowed back in the building a short time later, after the fire department gave the all clear.

Ragland said an electrical issue caused some smoke, making the alarms sound. He said no damage was done and no one was injured.
